How CT Pro Organizers Get A Home Market Ready

How CT Pro Organizers Get A Home Market Ready

The CT Chapter of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals has done it again!

Being on television that is!  But seriously, we worked our transformative magic on another home paving the way for new opportunities and a fresh start for a deserving family.

You may remember how last year we partnered with WFSB Channel 3 and held a Garage Makeover Contest which aired on their show, A Better Connecticut. Well, this year we were back at it with a Set to Sell Contest.

The Set to Sell Contest was aimed at people who wanted to sell their homes, but needed help to get it market ready. We asked potential contestants to send 4 pictures of their homes including: kitchen, living room, outside of the home, and a clutter "hotspot" of their choice. The winner would receive:

The winner chosen was Amanda Barnes of Norwalk, CT!

We descended upon her and her family's home on a warm day in July and worked our magic.

The segment aired on Better Connecticut this week with hosts Scot Haney and Kara Sundlun. Our NAPO-CT Vice President, Matt Baier who organized the event, gave an overview of the day and the sweet homeowner, Amanda, talked about her amazing experience. You can hear her saying in the clip: "You're saving my life!"

What a wonderful day it was! This example goes to show the many positives of professional organizing and what a benefit our services can be to families, realtors, and home stagers. Heck, you could call us lifesavers!!

  • Well, since I spent the day there, I guess I'd have to say the kitchen:) Actually, my favorite part was working with the team. What an incredibly humble and selfless group of people. There is no better community than that of POs!

  • What a wonderful project! When I was a POC member, my chapter would volunteer to help out a local organization, but this way you get to directly see the impact on the person or family you are helping. Good job!

    • @Janet Barclay: Yes, being present to witness the homeowner's happiness and success was truly inspiring!
